Mövenpick to Launch their Bangalore Hotel in October

Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts, Swiss hospitality chain is all set to establish its footprints in India. The brand will be launching their first Hotel in Bangalore in October. Other than this, the company is also planning to operate 15 hotels in the country in the next five years.

The locations identified by firm to expand its presence include Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and leisure destinations like Goa. After, Bangalore Luxury Hotels the company will set up a five-star-hotel-cum-ayurveda spa in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
Andreas Mattmüller, Chief Operating Officer (West Asia and Asia) said, “India has great potential to grow our brand. Outbound travel is huge here and there is a lot of demand that needs to be met”. The company wants to enter into the growing travel market in Asia, particularly India and China.
The Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts will work through management contracts with the developers in India. With so many international hotel chains entering India, Mövenpick aims to distinct itself through its specialties in food and beverage (F&B). The company has pegged F&B as its core competency.

“We have a ‘cherish programme’ where the culture of India is reflected in our identity, service, uniform, etc”, said, Mattmuller. He further added that they want to grow the brand and run both city and resort hotels under the same brand providing a luxury experience.
